Blocked Websites list in Bahrain (Child Safety)

Written by Mohammed Farooq

Topics: Internet

Bahrain Government is working hard for children safety on internet, in this safety program Bahrain Government have list of banned websites which is updated regularly  basis & sent to Major ISP’s of Bahrain like Batelco, Zain, Menatelecom & VIVA. But the fact is that these are not only Adult pornography websites blocked, there is also some Bahrain Cultural, Politics, Religion Websites/Forums also enlisted. To avoid peoples about these complicated topics.

People Accessing Blocked Websites

With the presence of Security, Internet Users are still accessing blocked listed websites through using Proxies softwares which changed your IP address to USA local IP address & grant you access to blocked websites even webmasters of Bahrain  Blocked websites are still updating these websites which are almost related to Bahrain peoples, I seen 1 website they have 1000s of Members and 100s of online members every time, many local Bahrain companies advertisement is also visible on that websites and which is totally for Bahrain Peoples & Blocked due to any reason. All users are getting illegal access to those websites/Forums, so Bahrain Government is successful to avoid pornography websites from children but not from Adults they are using HotSpot Shield Application to grant access & is also restricted, but peoples downloading this software from Third Party websites which comes third result of like & others. There is some problem with ISP’s of Bahrain because they just blocked the full domain & don’t have permission to just block a page like brothersoft/softwares/hotspot-shield  they can’t block these full domains due to a huge amount of softwares available for internet users which is addict of Bahrain Internet Users, The only way to stop this illegal access to these websites is blocked the website page URL where hotspot shield and other programs are available to download. HotSpot Shield & other proxy programs are also banned by all Major Anti-Virus but people still Disable/Deactivate the anti virus programs while using that kind of programs.

If there is a huge amount of users using proxy to access blocked websites in the other side there is also many peoples who don’t know about that kind of software & away from those websites which are blocked in Bahrain.

I’m Navin Shetty, Systems Admin by profession. I’m running a website called since 2007, and this site is just a IT help site for IT Professionals. All of sudden my site is blocked in bahrain recently.

I do not have any unappropriate contect that will voilate Bahrain Cyber law. I have no Idea why my website is blocked in Bahrain.

I can see lot of sites with same contents like my site is running without any block.

Is there any website or contact info there i can appeal for unblocking the website? I tried lot of times to appeal through the link in blocked page but every time it says there is some error please try again later.

Its archaic laws, we dont need govt being parents again. Thats the parents responsibility. Censorship happens in 19th century.get out of it. IF you dont like it dont watch it be good to urself but why stop others? they are not ur problem!!! when u block sites, alot of sites with good content are also blocked. why ban just websites?? Ban kitchen knifes too, u can use it for good and bad. its the parents responsibilty to take care of their children and educate not the govt. Govt should come out of 19th century laws and stop following other GCC blindly.

Hello Web Admin, I noticed that your On-Page SEO is is missing a few factors, for one you do not use all three H tags in your post, also I notice that you are not using bold or italics properly in your SEO optimization. On-Page SEO means more now than ever since the new Google update: Panda. No longer are backlinks and simply pinging or sending out a RSS feed the key to getting Google PageRank or Alexa Rankings, You now NEED On-Page SEO. So what is good On-Page SEO?First your keyword must appear in the title. Then it must appear in the URL.You have to optimize your keyword and make sure that it has a nice keyword density of 3-5% in your article with relevant LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing). Then you should spread all H1,H2,H3 tags in your article.Your Keyword should appear in your first paragraph and in the last sentence of the page. You should have relevant usage of Bold and italics of your keyword. There should be one internal link to a page on your blog and you should have one image with an alt tag that has your keyword….wait there’s even more Now what if i told you there was a simple WordPress plugin that does all the On-Page SEO, and automatically for you? That’s right AUTOMATICALLY, just watch this 4minute video for more information at. Seo Plugin

  7. I’m amazed, I must say. Seldom do I encounter a blog that’s both educative and engaging, and let me tell you, you’ve hit the nail on the head. The issue is something which not enough men and women are speaking intelligently about. Now i’m very happy I stumbled across this during my search for something regarding this.
