How to install OS windows on laptop while CDROM is not working

Well today I’m going to share my experience about installing the windows on my friend’s fujitsu semin laptop.

The problem which we were facing the DVDRom of laptop was not working. We tried to install from USB CDRom but failed. Exactly  we don’t know why we couldn’t  boot from USBCDrom. Maybe the fujitsu laptop doesn’t have the provision to boot from CDRom.

I intended to boot from Network but I changed my plan. Because booting from network need server or any running computer on network with installed programs like SysAngel DVD Generator, Tftpd32 etc also need some configuration and required 3 to 4 hours installation time.

Then we decided to remove laptop hard disk and plug this hard disk to desktop computer. We thought that we’ll need specific cable or connector to connect laptop hard disk to desktop. But we become so happy when we saw that the laptop hard disk has same power and data cables connecting points (connectors).

While old laptops don’t have the SATA hard disk. So we just connect laptop hard disk to desktop computer and install the windows. But we didn’t install drivers on desktop coz we don’t need that after completing the installation we remove hard disk and connect it to laptop again. It will work normally.
